Please pray for former pastor, Forrest Smith, and his family as they mourn the passing of his mother, Alene Anderson. There will be a graveside service this Sunday afternoon at 5pm at the Conetoe UMC cemetery followed by a visitation inside the church.

Hear ye, hear ye! The sweet corn (Obsession variety) will be picked in the wee hours Friday morning and will be available for pickup at the home of Amanda Elkins in Hobgood at 9:30am! The cost will be $5 a dozen for one or two dozen. Orders over 2 dozen will be $4 a dozen. Your purchase/donation/support will help fund the mission work of the Hobgood UMYF this year. Here we go!!! Please pray for our youth group and 4 brave leaders as we head to the mountains this weekend!! Hiking, tubing, and rafting in God’s beautiful creation.

Sweet corn time! It will be ready next week. As in years past, the Hobgood Youth Group will be picking and selling it as a fundraiser. Stay tuned for price and pickup dates.

Our UMW finished up their Taste and See Bible Study tonight with a great dinner and sweet fellowship. We meet every second Wednesday of the month; come join us!

Update on Bett King's arrangements: Visitation-Letchworth Sykes Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2 from 7PM to 8PM. Memorial Service-Hobgood Cemetery on Friday, May 3 at 1PM.

It is with both joy and sadness that we let you know that Bett King has passed from this life into her everlasting home with Jesus. She fought the good fight and the battle is won. The King family would like you to know that they are gathering at Bett's house today and that friends are welcome to stop by. God bless.
